Niantic and The Pokémon Company have announced Rookidee, the Tiny Bird Pokémon, will be the featured Pokémon for the Pokémon GO August 2025 Community Day event on Saturday, August 30, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
Trainers who evolve Corvisquire (Rookidee’s Evolution) during August 2025 Community Day event or up until Saturday, September 6 at 10:00 p.m. local time will get a Corviknight that knows the Charged Attack Air Cutter in Pokémon GO. Timed Research will also be available with rewards like an additional encounter with a Rookidee that has a special event background.
Other Event bonuses include:
- 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance
- 2× Catch Candy
- Increased chances of earning Candy XL
- Extended 3-hour Lure Modules and Incense
- Extra Special Trades and reduced Stardust cost until 10:00 p.m. local time
- Surprise encounters in Rookidee Snapshots
Moreover, there will be new Rookidee Community Day–exclusive Special Research, which costs $1.99. Purchasing the Special Research and completing it unlocks additional rewards, including three encounters with Rookidee that has a special event background, one Premium Battle Pass, one Rare Candy XL, and other valuable rewards.
What’s more, The Pokémon Company recently shared a new image ahead of the Pokémon Presents showcase on July 22, teasing that Pikachu is making preparations for the event. As a reminder, the Pokémon Presents showcase will held on July 22 at 9:00 p.m. JST on the official Pokémon YouTube channel.
While waiting, players can enjoy 60 FPS gameplay in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet on Nintendo Switch 2 at 60 FPS. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet received optimization updates on the platform to support higher resolutions and improve frame rates, texture quality, and other features.
