Square Enix just announced that Jinushi’s Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You (Super no Ura de Yani Sū Futari) manga will be getting an anime adaptation in 2026. To celebrate the announcement, Jinushi released an original illustration.

Jinushi released the Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You manga on X(formerly Twitter) in March 2022, before serialization in Square Enix’s Big Gangan magazine in August 2022. Square Enix released the sixth compiled volume of the manga on January 24 and will release the seventh volume on July 25. The manga is available to read in English via BOOK WALKER.

When Sasaki can’t find Yamada after a particularly trying day, a striking woman invites him to smoke with her. The despondent man thinks he’s made a new smoking buddy in the cool, teasing Tayama, but Sasaki doesn’t realize he already knows her!
