Nippon Ichi Software has recently released a free demo version for the Fuuraiki 5 adventure game, ahead of its July 31, 2025 release date in Japan. In this demo version of Fuuraiki 5, players can experience the beginning of the game and explore some locations of the coastal city of Toba. It is worth noting that data cannot be carried over to the full version of the game.
Fuuraiki 5 is the fifth installment of the Fuuraiki series of adventure games by Nippon Ichi Software. Players take on the role of Toru Seta, a newbie journalist who visits Mie Prefecture to participate in the Mie-kuni Eikou Competition (Shortly referred to as Mie-kon), an inter-media article competition organized by the prefecture of Mie in Japan.
The game features more than 100 locations, including Nagashima Spa Land and Maruyama Senmaida. One of the new additions include a Ship Mode, where players can take the ferry to cross to the remote islands of Iseshima. Players will also get to meet several characters throughout their journey, including fellow participants of the Mie-kon competition.
Fuuraiki 5 is set to release in Japan on July 31st, 2025, for the PlayStation 4 and 5 and Nintendo Switch. As of the time of writing, it is unknown whether the game will receive a western release. Lastly, you can watch a trailer for the game below:
