Goichi “GO1” Kishida claimed victory in the Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves bracket at the 2025 Esports World Cup after he defeated former EWC Street Fighter champion Zeng “Xiao Hai” Zhuojun. Xiao Hai is a dominant player in SNK fighters and has had strong performances in early City of the Wolves events. While Xiao Hai sought to become the first player in history to win EWC titles in two different fighting games, GO1 had other plans.

With this victory, GO1 claims a $300,000 prize and secures 1,000 Club Championship points for his team, DetonatioN FocusMe. While this win sends DFM up the Club Championship standings, the team currently only has players set to compete in one other game at the Esports World Cup, Street Fighter 6. Due to Xao Hai also competing in the EWC SF6 bracket, DFM has a possibility of crossing paths with Xaoi Hai again.
