The Pokémon Company has announced the Pokémon GO Summer Concert event, which will last from July 19 until July 22. It will feature a celebration of music from Junichi Masuda, the composer of the Pokémon series.
Each day during the event, from 5 PM to 8 PM local time, Trainers will be able to listen to a special arrangement of in-game background music made up of tracks selected by Masuda himself. There will also be several event bonuses, such as increased duration of lure modules, increased chance to encounter Shiny Chatot, and other specific Pokémon (plus their shiny variants) that can be lured. According to the official announcement post, these include the following:
- Jigglypuff
- Lotad
- Kricketot
- Chatot
- Audino
- Noibat
- Popplio
Alongside the Summer Concert event on Pokémon GO, the game will also hold the Gigantamax Lapras Max Battle Day event on the same day. As the name implies, the event will feature Gigantamax Lapras. According to the website, you can also encounter a shiny version of the aforementioned Pokémon.
There will also be a timed research opportunity starting on July 14, which will include 1 Max Mushroom and 25,000 XP. If you complete the timed research, you can unlock Dynamax Passimian. An event ticket will also available for $4.99. Further, the following event bonuses will be available:
- Remote Raid Pass limit increased to 20 from Friday, July 18, at 5:00 p.m. to Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. PDT
- Max Particle collection limit increased to 1,600
- 1/4 Adventuring distance to receive Max Particles
- 2× Max Particles from exploring^
- Power Spots will refresh more frequently
- 8× Max Particles from Power Spots
- Two additional Special Trades can be made.
Pokémon GO is available now on both iOS and Android. The next event will take place on July 19.
