Mojang has released a free skin pack for Minecraft, featuring several characters from the upcoming Superman movie. A full Superman DLC will be available in Minecraft soon.
The costume pack includes Superman himself, Lois Lane, Green Lantern (Guy Gardner), Hawkgirl, and Mr. Terrific. It is available in both the Java and Bedrock Editions of Minecraft. The latter of which is available on iOS, Android, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch. James Gunn directs the new Superman film at DC Studios/Warner Bros. Additionally, it stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, and Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen. It also stars Nathon Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Anthony Carrigan as Rex Mason/Metamorpho, Isabela Merced as Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Michael Holt/Mr. Terrific, and Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant. Another collaboration featuring Superman is available now in Fortnite.
Over the last few years, Minecraft has seen a massive resurgence. Mojang has released several new cosmetic packs and spinoff games in recent years. Additionally, Nintendo also included Steve and the Minecraft franchise in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. An amiibo of the blocky character is available now at most local and online retailers.
Earlier this year, A Minecraft Movie released in theaters to massive box office success. The film is available to watch now on the Max streaming service, which will be renamed once again to HBO Max on July 10.
