Koei Tecmo, Dotemu, and The Game Kitchen announced Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound will release on July 31 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A free demo for Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound will be available during Steam Next Fest from June 9 until launch on PC.
Moreover, it was confirmed that Blasphemous composer Sergio de Prado is the main composer of Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound. The soundtrack will also include contributions from original Ninja Gaiden composers Keiji Yamagishi, Ryuichi Niita, and Kaori Nakabai.
Developed by The Game Kitchen, Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound will offer Ninja Gaiden fans a new 2D experience. Koei Tecmo promises that this new title will blend the gameplay of the classic entries with the depth and intense action from the 3D games. The new game will follow Kenji Mozu as he faces a demonic threat endangering the Hayabusa Village. As Ryu Hayabusa is in America during the game’s events, it’s all up to Kenji to save the day.
Additionally, Koei Tecmo and PlatinumGames recently revealed Ninja Gaiden 4, developed in collaboration with Team NINJA, and it’s planned to launch in fall 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Windows and Steam. It will be a day one Xbox Game Pass title. Ninja Gaiden 4 features two playable characters, the new protagonist Yakumo from the Raven clan and the returning series lead, Ryu Hayabusa. The story centers around the return of the Dark Dragon. Players can expect all-new move sets, challenging levels, and high-speed dynamic action that PlatinumGames is known for.
