Nintendo released the “A Legend Reimagined” Creator’s Voice video for the upcoming release of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade for Nintendo Switch 2. The new Creator’s Voice video features Final Fantasy VII Remake series director Naoki Hamaguchi, who discusses bringing Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade to the new platform.
According to Hamaguchi, the power of Nintendo Switch 2 allows Square Enix to “recreate Midgar with full specs,” making Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and the series possible on the platform. Hamaguchi also has high hopes to build a strong partnership between Nintendo and the Final Fantasy brand. Once again, Hamaguchi’s comments essentially confirm that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3 will both come to Nintendo Switch 2 at some point.
Previously, Square Enix revealed various new 4K Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade screenshots for the Nintendo Switch 2 version, which was announced during the Nintendo Direct: Nintendo Switch 2 presentation. This version of the game includes both Final Fantasy VII Remake and the Episode INTERmission DLC featuring Yuffie Kisaragi.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth are available now for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Be sure to check out our 5/5 review of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, where we stated, “Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is a generational RPG that exemplifies everything there is to love about the medium.” Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is Final Weapon’s Game of the Year for 2024 as well.
