Additionally, PlayStation has also released a new trailer for the upcoming game. The trailer provides further emphasis on the game’s story and the quest of the protagonist, Atsu. She must journey throughout Northern Japan in order to get revenge on those who killed her family years ago. Check out the trailer below:

Three editions will be available: a standard edition for $69.99, a digital deluxe edition for $79.99, and a Collector’s Edition. If you pre-order the game, you will receive six avatars to use on your PlayStation profile and an in-game mask.

The digital deluxe edition includes an armor set, armor dye, a horse and saddle, a sword kit, and early access to “traveler’s maps.” The collector’s edition will include all digital items mentioned above, as well as a physical sash, ghost mask, Tsuba, art cards, Zeni Hajiki coin game and pouch, and a papercraft Ginkgo tree.

The PlayStation Store describes the game as follows:

The story follows a haunted, lone mercenary named Atsu. Thirsty for revenge, she travels through the beautiful, rugged landscapes of northern Japan, hunting those who killed her family many years earlier.

Sixteen years after her family’s death, Atsu’s quest across Ezo brings her to unexplored lands in search of a gang of six outlaws, but she finds much more than vengeance.

Throughout her journey, Atsu will discover unlikely allies, and greater bonds than she could have imagined.

Ghost of Yōtei will release on October 2.
