Limited Run Games has announced that DOOM + DOOM II will get several physical editions. Specifically, two collector’s editions and a standard edition will be available.
The standard edition simply includes both games in a physical package for $29.99. The “Big Box” edition includes a digital Steam code, four cassette tapes with the soundtrack, and a trading card pack for $99.99. Finally, the “Will It Run” edition includes a box that plays Doom, a handheld Cacodemon that plays DOOM, a Certificate of Authenticity, a floating Cacodemon (on a magnetic plate), alongside the aforementioned cassettes and trading cards. The “Will It Run” edition costs $666.66.
Additionally, a custom CRKD DOOM controller will also release for $69.99. It will be compatible with Nintendo Switch, Smart TV, PC, and mobile devices. All the products mentioned above will be available to pre-order on April 18.
The next entry in the DOOM franchise, The Dark Ages, will bring the world of DOOM to medieval times for the very first time. This game is a prequel to both DOOM (2016) and DOOM: Eternal. It was first revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase 2024. The final release date was revealed in January at a Developer_Direct presentation.
