Bethesda has announced that DOOM: The Dark Ages will release on May 15. During the recent Developer Direct, Id software revealed more details about the game’s combat, exploration, and story. The newly released gameplay trailers show more of all of the above, including what fans can expect about The Dark Ages‘ weapons, difficulty settings, and more.
Further, they confirmed that Finishing Move Inc., composed of Brian Trifon and Brian Lee White, will compose the DOOM: The Dark Ages soundtrack. Both have worked on several games such as Borderlands 3, Halo Wars 2, Halo 2 Anniversary, and more.

After the Developer Direct, Id Software confirmed more details about the upcoming game. First, they showcased the game’s new official key art. They also revealed more details about the game’s pre-order bonuses, premium edition, and collector’s edition. Those who pre-order the game will get access to the “Void Slayer” skin.
The premium edition includes the following:
- DOOM: The Dark Ages (Base Game)
- Early Access to the game up to two days before launch
- DOOM: The Dark Ages Soundtrack & Artbook
- Divinity Slayer Skin
- Divinity Dragon Skin
- Divinity Atlan Skin
- Campaign DLC
The collector’s edition includes all of the bonuses mentioned above, alongside a 12-inch DOOM Slayer statue with faux fur cape and detachable shotgun/flail, a metal red key card replica, and steelbook case. Check out pictures for the key art of Doom: The Dark Ages and its editions below:
Lastly, DOOM: The Dark Ages will launch on May 15, 2025 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Additionally, the game will be available on day-one via Xbox Game Pass. Pre-orders are now live.
