The staff of Mashin Sōzōden Wataru has released a new promo, showcasing the anime’s new opening theme song. SANTA performs the track “Sō” (Genesis).

Lol performed the opening theme for the anime’s first half, titled “POP UP!” FANTASTICS performed the ED, titled “Pocket.” The anime’s manga adaptation launched in Shogakukan’s Monthly CoroCoro Comic magazine on December 13. Nick Shō is drawing the series.
The original Mashin Eiyūden Wataru anime aired in 1988. The sequel series premiered in 1990, with another sequel releasing in 1997. The franchise has inspired three original video anime, and a new anime series, which premiered on January 12. The Western distributor for the series is currently unknown.
The story focuses on series protagonist Wataru. He goes to the world, titled Sōkaizan, in response to a call about an incident there. He finds out that an evil presence surrounds the area. Further, the power of the robot, Ryūjinmaru, has been sealed. Together with his friends Shibaraku, Toraō, and Himiko, Wataru begins a new journey.
Lastly, Mashin Sōzōden Wataru recently entered its second half and got a new opening theme on Monday.
