Patapon 1+2 Replay Launches for PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch on July 11

    Become the Mighty.

During today’s Nintendo Direct, Bandai Namco and Sony Interactive Entertainment revealed Patapon 1+2 Replay for Nintendo Switch. Bundling in the first two Patapon games, this collection will be published by Bandai Namco and arrive on July 11.

Following the Nintendo Direct, Bandai Namco confirmed that this game will also arrive on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam in July. This release is a shakeup at Sony, as Patapon is a property and IP registered under the company. As a multiplatform release, it will be interesting to see what this means for the company’s future release approach.

Bandai Namco describes this new game as the following:

A delicate and mysterious species of creatures like an eyeball,  the “Patapon” are guided through their adventures by the rhythm of four drums.

There are various classes of “Patapon”, each with distinct roles and combat styles such as the flag-waving “Hatapon” who leads the charge, the shield-bearing “Tatepon” who protects allies, and the bow-wielding “Yumipon” who strikes from afar. Use their traits to form your squad and conquer multiple stages!

As the player, you become the Mighty of the “Patapon”, leading their grand march towards the “Earthend”.

Patapon 1+2 Replay launches for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam on July 11.
