Spike Chunsoft announced No Sleep for Kaname Date From AI The Somnium Files, the next entry in the AI: The Somnium Files series. No Sleep for Kaname Date From AI The Somnium Files will come to Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on July 25, 2025.
Previously, series creator Kotaro Uchikoshi posted a cryptic teaser, implying that AI: The Somnium Files 3 was coming soon. The tease came nearly a year after Uchikoshi and director Akira Okada teased fans about developing a third game for the series.
Kotaro Uchikoshi’s cryptic tease shows a dysfunctional TV monitor, with the Twitter post itself featuring strange strings of text. The text appears to be nearly identical to the text shown during Kuruto Ryuki’s episodes of cognitive dysfunction from AI: The Somnium Files – nirvanA Initiative.
Spike Chunsoft has revealed special developer messages from Kotaro Uchikoshi and Kazuya Yamada to celebrate today’s announcement:

For this title, I’m serving as the “scenario advisor” from the perspective of overseeing the entire series. From the beginning, I trusted the development staff, but I was filled with awe at the quality, which far exceeded my expectations. The core element of this game, the “escape game,” is not just a collection of puzzles; it has been intricately woven with a deep thematic significance, and its difficulty is perfectly balanced…! No Sleep for Kaname Date: From AI The Somnium Files will release on July 25 for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. The digital version of the game is priced at $39.99, while a physical will be available for $49.99.
