The Food of the Soul anime series will premiere on April 12, and a new trailer revealed more details, including the cast, staff members, and opening theme song. asmi performs the opening theme song “Sonna Mon ne” (It Can Be Like That).

The cast of the Food for the Soul anime includes:
- Hana Shimano as Mako Kawai
- Ai Kakuma as Kurea Furudate
- Yoshino Aoyama as Shinon Ogawa
- Natsune Inui as Tsutsuji Higa
- Saya Aizawa as Nana Hoshi
- Azuki Moeno as Mokotarō
Shinya Kawatsura and Yū Harumi from Non Non Biyori will co-direct the new anime at studio P.A. Works. Hajime Mitsuda will adapt Atto’s character designs for animation, and Mitsuda will also be the chief animation director. Yoshihiro Hiki oversees the series scripts, Takeshi Takadera is the sound director, and Hiromi Mizutani is the composer.

Lastly, the Food for the Soul anime premieres on April 12 at 24:30 JST, or April 12 at 11:30 a.m. EDT. It will air on Tokyo MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, and BS11 channels in Japan, to name a few. ABC TV in Japan will also air the anime on Sunday evenings via an all-new anime programming block.
