    ANIME TOKYO NIGHT Light Festival Will Be Held in Ikebukuro

    The Ikebukuro Area Projection Mapping Executive Committee announced the ANIME TOKYO NIGHT light festival will be held at the Naka-Ikebukuro Park from Saturday, March 15 to Sunday, March 23. The event will feature notable works like Oshi no Ko, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, DAN DA DAN, and WIND BREAKER with dynamic 3D visuals, massive screens, 

    Ikebukuro is considered a major hub in Japan for anime culture, and it will be the home of the ANIME TOKYO NIGHT event this month. Admission is free, so fans in Japan and those visiting from abroad may enjoy the event without fees.

    ANIME TOKYO NIGHT Event Details

    • Event Dates: March 15th (Sat) – March 23rd (Sun), 2025
    • Venue: Naka-Ikebukuro Park (1-16-1 Higashi-Ikebukuro, Toshima City, Tokyo)
      • Screening on the wall of the Hareza ikebukuro Toshima Civic Center

    The event is co-hosted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, with production and managing by TOHOKUSHINSHA FILM CORPORATION and planning by Sony Music Solutions. In addition, WACCA ikebukuro, AnimeJapan 2025, and animate Co. are lending their support.

    Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari’s Oshi no Ko manga series took the world by storm in recent years, and the anime series will continue with its third season in 2026. Moreover, the first and second seasons are streaming on HIDIVE.

    The anime adaptation for Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe’s Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End was one of the most popular series in 2023 and 2024. Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End continues with its second season in January 2026.

    The gritty delinquent high school-themed anime WIND BREAKER will see its strongest students continue their bouts in its second season, premiering real soon on April 3. Afterward, 2024’s hit DAN DA DAN anime will continue with its second season in July 2025.
