To celebrate the Japanese launch of Suikoden I & II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars, illustrator and character designer Junko Kawano released a new illustration on Suikoden’s official Twitter/X account.

Konami recently announced a manga adaptation of the newly unveiled Suikoden: Star Leap mobile game is in the works. Aki Shimizu, the manga author for the Suikoden III manga, returns to work on the Suikoden: Star Leap manga. Shimizu is also currently working on The Mononoke Lecture Logs of Chuzenji-sensei series, with 10 volumes released so far.
“A new addition to the Suikoden series, after a long silence! I’m already looking forward to meeting him…and her…and all the others,” Shimizu commented.
The new Suikoden: Star Leap game features gacha elements and events, but Suikoden: Star Leap retains the franchise’s signature combat system. Out of 108 stars, players can assemble a “dream team” of their favorite Suikoden heroes for battle.
Moreover, Konami announced Suikoden: The Anime, which is an anime adaptation of Suikoden II. Suikoden: The Anime will be the first anime series directly handled by Konami Animation.
Lastly, Suikoden I & II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars launches March 6 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
