Bandai Namco Entertainment has rebranded Super Robot Wars and Mobile Suit Gundam series developer B.B. Studio to Bandai Namco Forge Digitals. The studio will continue to develop games like Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation 2 and Super Robot Wars to bring “excitement beyond expectations.”
According to Bandai Namco, the studio’s new name exemplifies “skilled artisans creating high-quality works (Forge)” and “having unlimited potential (Digitals).” The next game by Bandai Namco Forge Digitals will be Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Battle Destiny Remastered, coming to Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on May 22.
The remaster includes improved visuals, and the release marks the first time the game has ever been officially localized in English. Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Battle Destiny was previously only available in Japan for PlayStation Vita when it launched in 2012.
Lastly, here’s an overview of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Battle Destiny Remastered, via Bandai Namco:
As a soldier in volatile times, players must choose from one of the three factions– Earth Alliance, Z.A.F.T or Archangel to fight alongside in various story missions based on the series’ iconic moments such as Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny as well as side stories including Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Astray, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED C.E. 73: STARGAZER and more. With over 100 different mobile suits to choose from, players can tune their mechs to engage in thrilling, action-packed Gundam battles.
