Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition Reveals Overview Trailer, Confirms Return of Hiroyuki Sawano

The legendary composer is back for more.

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition received a brand-new trailer this morning, and with it came confirmation of many highly-requested features.

First, the trailer showcases the character creation menu, with some of the various options available inside it. There’s also an extensive look at the planet of Mira and the various combat mechanics found inside the game. Nintendo highlighted the Skell combat, as well as just how much the combat can vary.

We also received our first look at the game’s online multiplayer features. Similar to everything else, the entire menu system has been redesigned, so you can expect a sleek and smooth experience.

Finally, the trailer revealed a brand-new look at the additional story content in the game. There are some very interesting voice lines that hint at where this could be headed, but we’ll save that analysis for another time.

Following the release of this trailer, Monolith Soft confirmed on Twitter (X) that Xenoblade Chronicles X composer Hiroyuki Sawano will return to compose brand-new music for the game. He will be joined by Misaki Umase, who has composed music for various anime.

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is set to release on March 20 for Nintendo Switch.
