Niantic has announced the next season of Monster Hunter Now, Season 5: The Blossoming Blade. It will release on March 6.
The season will feature new skills, new quests, and of course, new monsters. Specifically, two monsters, Glavenus and Arzuros will make their debut in the new season. There will also be balance adjustments and a new feature that will release on March 17, to commemorate the game’s 1.5 year anniversary.
Niantic have also made new adjustments to the Sword & Shield and Guard skill. The Sword & Shield will now have an enhanced attack skill that will affect its ability to attack breakable parts and use the Perfect Rush Combo. The Guard skill will also now increase damage reduction at a greater scale when used.
Additionally, according to the official website, the following monsters will receive modified appearances:

- Basarios
- Khezu
- Mizutsune
- Magnamalo
- Rajang
- Volvidon
- Somnacanth
- Tigrex

- Coral Pukei-Pukei
- Nightshade Paolumu
Monster Hunter Now is available now on iOS and Android. The next mainline entry in the series, Monster Hunter Wilds, will release on PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S on February 28. The PlayStation Store describes Monster Hunter Wilds as follows:
