Van has a massive sweet tooth, but he will be cooking more than just sweets with lots of recipes in The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak II. Cooking meals in Trails through Daybreak II is essential for increasing the Gourmet Rank and getting useful, permanent stat bonuses for Arkride Solutions and friends.
It’s worth noting that Van’s Butter Financier and Elaine’s Oración-style Potage recipes are automatically available in the Prologue. After that, there are 21 recipes to collect in Trails through Daybreak II, all of which award Gourmet Points after cooking the meal for the first time. Recipes may be acquired by buying and reading Soul Chef books, which become available at shops and vendors throughout the story. Ingredients may be bought or traded at vendors all across Calvard and more specifically, Edith.
