Nexon has announced new details about Season 2 Episode 2 of The First Descendant. Today, new Valentine’s Day skins and a new Winter hot springs area was released. New emotes and an Ultimate Weapon Rework is also available.
During a recent livestream, Nexon announced that Season 3 will release in the Summer. Further, they confirmed that the previously planned March update will now be called Season 2 Episode 2. The new update will include a new story and a new enemy, known as Obliviant, a squad of Descendants now under the control of the Vulgus.
Additionally, a new descendant named Serena will be available in March. She’ll have the ability to fly and utilize mid-air skills. A new ultimate descendant will also be available, known as Ultimate Blair, as well as a new Arche Fellow, a Labrador Retriever.
The Season 2 Week 11 Update, available today, features new skins for the Male and Female Descendants, a “Lub-Dub skin” for Valentine’s Day, new reworks to the Last Bastion, Sigvore’s Proof, Restored Relic weapons, and brand-new events such as Operation Initiation and Operation: Burning Embers.

The First Descendant is a next-generation third-person co-op action RPG looter shooter featuring high-quality graphics developed using Unreal Engine 5. In the game, players become a Descendant whose mission is to combat against alien invaders – The Vulgus who crossed dimensions over 100 years ago and brought with them the devastating Colossi and destruction– for the survival of humanity and to protect Albion and the continent of Ingris.
Lastly, The First Descendant Season 2 Episode 2 will release in March 2025. The game is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
