With the help of Maomao, Jinshi is preparing for a beautiful but slightly uncomfortable role as the “Moon Fairy” in The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 episode 29. Before Jinshi takes the stage under a bright night sky, here’s when you can expect to watch the latest episode of The Apothecary Diaries Season 2.
In The Apothecary Diaries episode 28, Gaoshun told Maomao a story of two introvert twin daughters with a very overprotective father. One of the daughters became pregnant somehow, and Maomao thinks Gaoshun is hiding something since he’s not sharing more details. Her mind goes elsewhere though, as she receives a bear gall as a reward from Jinshi, making her ecstatic.
Later in the episode, Jinshi tells Maomao about a dancing, otherworldly beauty that sheds pearls as tears, also referred to as the “Moon Fairy.” It turns out that this story is actually about the old lady running the House Verdigris, who was once curvy and very tall. Since there’s virtually no woman that fits the criteria of the Moon Fairy, Maomao recommends Jinshi becomes the envoy they need, leading to the events of episode 29.
The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 Episode 29 Release Date and Time
The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 episode 29 premieres on Friday, February 7 at 9:15 a.m. PST / 12:15 p.m. EST on Crunchyroll. The new episode is titled “Moon Fairy” and it will stream with English subs first, followed by the English dub at a later date. 12 to 13 episodes will release in the first cour of Season 2.

What to Expect in Episode 29
The twin sisters Ayla (voiced by Lynn) and Aylin (voiced by Yumi Hara) will appear in episode 29, and it looks like they will be dazzled by the Moon Fairy’s performance. The preview also shows a sneak peek of Jinshi in his Moon Fairy attire, and Maomao will likely be well dressed for the occasion as well.
