The latest Street Fighter 6 update, centered around Mai Shiranui’s inclusion, introduces several quality-of-life improvements and new online ranks.
The official Street Fighter X/Twitter account revealed these improvements on multiple threads, but you can check them all out below:
New Ranks and Improvements for Street Fighter 6
- Match Restore is a new feature being added to Street Fighter 6 custom rooms. This allows players to resume a match if it is interrupted due to disconnection, picking up where the fight left off at the start of the round. This feature will only be available in One on One matches.
- Local Tournament Mode Setting is a new addition added under the Options menu. When activated, this feature prevents skipping through key scenes such as battle intros and outros. It also enables Automatic Random Stages and the Pause Menu on Long Hold setting. All of these settings can be individually adjusted.
- Lastly, the Street Fighter 6 Mai update adds new online ranks and rewards to incentivize skilled players further. The Master Rank is now dividide into three distinct tiers: High Master, Grand Master, and Ultimate Master. Players will need to achieve a specific Master Rate (MR) to move up through these tiers. Additionally, players can now earn Master Phase rewards by competing in Ranked Matches with characters they’ve reached Master Rank with. These rewards consist of character colors and are tracked through the Multi-Menu’s Rewards screen, with new rewards available each phase. Moreover, at the start of each new phase, players’ Master Rates will be determined based on their performance in the previous phase. The median rate will remain at 1500, but players placed above or below the median will find matchmaking more accurately balanced based on skill level.
