Koei Tecmo and Team NINJA released the version 1.0.6.0 update for Ninja Gaiden 2: Black to fix some Nvidia DLSS and Intel XeSS-related issues in the PC (Microsoft Store) version. An issue involving a progression-blocking bug was also fixed.
Moreover, Koei Tecmo confirms that another Ninja Gaiden 2: Black update is planned for mid-February 2025. The update will bring balance adjustments and additional features.

- Fixed an issue where the options for DLSS and XeSS would not appear when selecting super resolution type on the Microsoft Store version of the game.
- Fixed an issue that in rare cases made it impossible to progress after defeating certain bosses.
Koei Tecmo and PlatinumGames recently revealed Ninja Gaiden 4, developed in collaboration with Team NINJA, and it’s planned to launch in fall 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Windows and Steam. It will be a day one Xbox Game Pass title.
Ninja Gaiden 4 features two playable characters, the new protagonist Yakumo from the Raven clan and the returning series lead, Ryu Hayabusa. The story centers around the return of the Dark Dragon. Players can expect all-new move sets, challenging levels, and high-speed dynamic action that PlatinumGames is known for.
Fans can also look forward to Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound by The Game Kitchen and Koei Tecmo. Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound offers a new 2D experience that promises to blend the gameplay of the classic entries with the depth and intense action from the 3D games. The game follows Kenji Mozu as he faces a demonic threat endangering the Hayabusa Village. It will release in summer 2025 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
Lastly, Ninja Gaiden 2: Black is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
