The Skies of Arcadia trademark was filed on Thursday, January 16, according to the official filing. It later went public on Friday, January 24. Although the trademark is not definitive confirmation of a new game, it’s worth noting that SEGA has been filing trademarks for many of its dormant IPs following the announcement of several SEGA revivals in December 2023.
Skies of Arcadia originally launched on October 5, 2000 for SEGA Dreamcast in Japan. North America and Europe received the RPG on November 14, 2000 and April 27, 2001. The game also released on Nintendo GameCube as Skies of Arcadia Legends for Japan on December 26, 2002, North America on January 28, 2003, Europe on May 23, 2003, and Australia on June 6, 2003.
