NCSOFT has canceled three projects, including a new Horizon MMORPG, according to South Korean website MTN News. This Horizon MMORPG was designed at “Project H,” which was in development at one of NCSOFT’s three studios.

The article doesn’t reveal any more details about the three projects (H, J, and Pantera), but it’s been rumored that Project H was in development for some time as a new Horizon MMORPG. Developers tied to the project either left NCSOFT or were moved onto different projects at NCSOFT.

The cancelation comes just over a year after Sony Interactive Entertainment announced it entered a partnership with NCSOFT in November 2023. The partnership is focused on “various global business fields, including mobile.” Before the announcement, reports at that time indicated that the two struck a deal to create the Horizon MMORPG.

“This partnership with SIE is the beginning of our efforts to build various synergies together, utilizing both companies’ core competencies, technological capabilities, and expertise,” said Taekjin Kim, President and CEO at NCSOFT, in November 2023. “We will deliver a new and enjoyable experience to our audience across and beyond genres and regions.”

In November 2024, PlayStation and LEGO announced a new set themed around the recently released LEGO Horizon Adventures game. The set, titled “Aloy & Varl vs. Shell-Walker & Sawtooth” is available to pre-order now for $44.99. It will release on March 1, 2025.
