    Fortnite Festival Local Multiplayer Releasing on January 14

    One step closer to a true Guitar Hero resurrection.

    Epic Games has announced that the Fortnite Festival sub-mode of Fortnite will receive a local multiplayer mode on January 14. The feature will allow players to play the Guitar Hero-inspired mode with friends visiting in-person. The mode will be available on PlayStation and Xbox. It is currently unknown if it’ll be available on PC and Nintendo Switch.

    Epic Games released the Fortnite Festival mode in 2023. In Fortnite Festival, you can play with a guitar, drum, bass, and other instruments as your favorite characters/cosmetics you’ve acquired in the base Fortnite game. Several songs from numerous beloved artists such as Imagine Dragons, Fall Out Boy, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Linkin Park, Sabrina Carpenter, and more are available to play.

    Fortnite is available now on the Nintendo Switch, PC, iOS, Android, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The sub-mode, Fortnite Festival, is described as follows:

    Play in a band with friends or perform solo on stage with hit music by your favorite artists in Fortnite Festival! On the Main Stage, play a featured rotation of Jam Tracks. Compete against friends for the best performance or team up to climb the leaderboards. The festival is just beginning with more Jam Tracks, Music Icons, concerts, and stages coming soon. Take your stage in Fortnite Festival!

    Lastly, Epic Games will reveal more details about the Fortnite Festival local multiplayer mode in the coming days. The mode will be available on PlayStation and Xbox on January 14.
