    Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream Reveals DLC 2 and January Roadmap

    Patch notes for version 2.0.0 were revealed as well.

    Bandai Namco announced Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream DLC 2 – The Devil’s Comeback will release on January 23 (JST). The DLC will include new story episodes, playable characters, and much more.

    The Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream DLC 2 – The Devil’s Comeback will feature playable characters Pitohui and M, five story episodes, and new costumes and weapons. Before the DLC launches, a new Start Dash Campaign will be held, allowing players to earn double EXP until they reach rank 50.

    Moreover, character rank EXP gains will be increased by 1.5x from January 9 to January 16. Player rank gains will be increased by 1.5x from January 16 to January 23. Moreover, the Extreme Boss Raid SBS Trommel Zwei will be available from January 23 to January 30. 

    Starting today, DLC character Fuuka is playable for free after installing the latest Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream update. To unlock her, players must clear the main story quest. You can read up on patch notes further below.

    Lastly, Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream is available now for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream players receive a bonus in-game costume for having save data from Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet.     Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream Version 1.2.0 Update Patch Notes

    • Fuuka will join as an unlockable playable character in season 2 (Clear the Main Story Quest)
    • 3 Additional Stories.
    • Maximum Player Rank limit is raised to 130.
    • The Fatal Scythe and Dorz’l the Chaos Drake Origin will be added to Free Roam.
    • A new Extreme Boss Raid, the SBC Trommel Zwei.
    • Earn Player Rank EXP by clearing new Daily and Weekly Challenges.
    • World Tier 4 Co-Op Quests / Boss Raids added (Start with 2 Healing Crystals).
    • World Tier 4 Co-Op Quest, Poisoned Facility, Ghospet Abyss Zone boss added.
    • World Tier 4 Free Roam quests added (recommended rank of 100+).
    • Replay story quests with other characters (after clearing Time to Be Brave).
    • Tower of Determination Layers 11 to 15 added.
    • Weapons added. Players can now obtain all-element weapons.
    • New Item Rank UP feature. Use Upgrade Material Z to match equipment ranks.
    • New option to turn equipment Legendary Special Effects to Effect Spheres.
    • KPF 2024 stamps and player card backgrounds added.
    • New Bundles added to the Store.
    Adjustments
    • Equipment obtained by clearing quests may be as high as Player Rank +5.
      (This cannot exceed the Dropped Equipment Max. Rank).
    • Daily and Weekly Challenges adjusted.
    • After unlocking World Tier 4, item creation always gives EX elements.
    • World Tier 3 Dropped Equipment Max. Rank now exceeds Rank 100.
    • Black Silver Sword ATK adjusted upwards.
    • Col inventory cap increased from 7 to 8 digits.
    • Adjustments made to Stats and Skills of player characters.
    • Adjustments made to equipment special effects.

    Fixes
    • Fixed a rare issue in Main Quest 3-4 “Maze” where players were unable to progress after an NPC initiates a mission in the “3-4_Stage” trap room.
    • Fixed an issue in Main Quest 5-4 “Fuuka’s Record” where the invisible wall used to limit player movement were broken in certain places.
    • Fixed an issue where a character currently ‘switched’ to ADS controls was not switched back when that character became an NPC.
    • Fixed an issue where on specific path on the Co-Op Quest “Woods of Recollection” Cardinal can be pushed by enemies and the quest does not progress.
    • Fixed an issue where Lisbeth’s Unique Skill gauge would not reset if she was downed and revived while it was activated in Multiplayer Quests.
    • Fixed an issue where a Skill’s effect would not display if that Skill initiated a cutscene when used to attack certain enemies.
    • Fixed an issue where when a lot of visual appears on screen, Basic Skills that are activated by holding down a button to activate basic skill does not work.
    • Fixed an issue where Passive Skills and Special Effects with the chance to apply Status Effects on Advanced Skill hits were applied to Asuna’s “Midair Heavy Attack”
    • Fixed a rare issue where a single-shot gun would not fire when a player switched to ADS controls while wielding one.
    • Fixed an issue where the aim-assist and auto-aim functions for Yui’s “Satellite Orb” would not activate near the character.
    • The font for rapid-fire weapons has been reduced in size.
    • Fixed a rare issue where the auto-aim function doesn’t work when aiming at the body parts of some Raid Bosses.
    • Fixed a rare issue where players couldn’t progress if another user begins a quests while a Free Roam Quest or an Aid Request quest is about to begin.
    • Fixed a rare issue where players would occasionally not have invincibility when joining Aid Requests.
    • Fixed an issue where the camera could not be adjusted if players joined an Aid Request at the same time it changed into the Boss Phase.
    • Fixed a rare issue where players would be warped to a dark space when joining an Aid Request.
    • Fixed an issue where Basic Skills would sometimes not active when holding down the assigned button when the processing load was momentarily increased.
    • Fixed a rare issue where some of LLENN’s Advanced Skills or Ultimate would be canceled if the Internet lag was too great.
    • Other small issues, adjustments, and other unintentional issues were fixed.
