The Exit 8 is Out Now on Xbox Series X|S

A live-action film adaptation is coming soon.

PLAYISM and KOTAKE CREATE announced critically acclaimed walking simulator The Exit 8 is now available on Xbox Series X|S via the Microsoft Store. The Xbox Series X|S version of The Exit 8 costs just $4.99.

Fans can also look forward to a live-action movie adaptation of The Exit 8 from TOHO. The movie will premiere sometime in 2025 in Japan.

KOTAKE CREATE said, “The Exit 8 is being adapted into a live-action movie! I never expected a movie to be announced just about a year after the game’s release in November 2023, so I’m totally shocked and grateful. When I first heard about the movie, I wondered how they would turn a game without a story into a movie, but I believe they’ve managed to make something interesting without compromising The Exit 8’s world and atmosphere!”

The Exit 8 is currently available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. Here’s an overview of the game’s VR version, via Steam:
