MAGES. appointed Makoto Asada as its new president and CEO, following the retirement of former president and CEO Kengo Honjo on December 31, 2024, according to the company’s latest notice.
Alongside Makoto Asada, MAGES appointed Hirotaka Kawai, Youichi Ikeda, and Kazunobu Takita as new executive officers . In addition, Rintarou Mori is the newly appointed auditing officer. Outgoing officers include Michiko Koyanagi, Yoshiaki Harai, and Takanori Nishikawa, alongside Honjo.
Moreover, MAGES. plans to make several announcements and release new projects in 2025 alongside STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT. The developers will also celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Memories off series with Memories Off Sousou: Not always true. STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT is planned to release in 2025 in Japan, and platforms are unknown at this time. Memories Off Sousou: Not always true will April 10, 2025 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam in Japan and Asia.
Asada said, “As STEINS;GATE celebrates its 15th anniversary [in 2025], development on the previously announced STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT is progressing, and we hope to bring you a fresh new take on the STEINS;GATE experience. Furthermore, the new title to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Memories Off series (Memories Off Sousou: Not always true) is scheduled to release in April.”
