The Pokémon Company has announced that fashion week will return to Pokémon GO on January 10. The event will last until January 19. The event will feature new costumed Pokémon, new event bonuses, and increased probabilities of encountering the following Pokémon:
- Diglett (wearing a fashionable costume)
- Skitty
- Buneary
- Blitzle (wearing a fashionable costume)
- Furfrou
- Bruxish
- Kirlia (wearing a fashionable costume)
Costumed versions of Minncino, Cinccino, Shinx, Butterfree, and Dragonite will also appear in raids and in the wild. The event bonuses are as follows:
Event Bonuses
- 2× Stardust from catching Pokémon.
- 2× Chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
- Increased chance to encounter Shiny Kirlia wearing a fashionable costume in the wild.
Increased chance to encounter the following Shiny Pokémon from Field Research task rewards and raids.
- Butterfree wearing a fashionable costume
- Dragonite wearing a fashionable costume
- Minccino wearing a fashionable costume
- Furfrou
There’s also paid-time research, available for $4.99. It includes 3,500 XP,, 3,500 Stardust, an event-themed avatar pose, and event-themed Pokémon encounters (including Dragonite wearing a fashionable costume Minccino wearing a fashionable costume, and Furfrou). There will also be a new plaid top and plaid pants available to purchase at the in-game shop.
Recently, The Pokémon Company held the Pokémon GO Wild Area: Global Event. The virtual event began on November 23 and lasted until November 24. Tickets were available for $11.99. Additionally, Pokémon GO Wild Area: Fukuoka took place from November 16-17. Special early bird pricing was priced at ¥3100.
Lastly, Pokémon GO is available now on iOS and Android. The Fashion Week event will return to Pokémon Go on January 10.
