Animation ID has announced that Lockdown Zone: Level X season 2 will premiere on February 21. It will be available on d Anime Store and other services. The first season aired on September 6, 2024. The series is described as a light anime, meaning a simpler animation style that reduces production time and costs. The cast and staff for the season is as follows:

Romy Oishi released the Lockdown Zone: Level X story as a chat-style novel in 2017. He launched it on the manga and novel app, peep, which he also operates. Meshe launched the manga adaptation in 2020. The manga ended in its third volume in 2022. Denpa publishes the series digitally and describes it as follows:
Ryoka is awakened by flurry of text messages from her mother! Panicked and rushed, Mom is clearly concerned for Ryoka’s safety, but she is not to keen on letting her daughter know why. Her reasoning being that nothing could really properly describe what is happening!
The world might be ending! And there might be a massive new life-form on the roof of their apartment building!
Lastly, season 2 of Lockdown Zone: Level X will air on February 21. The anime’s staff will likely reveal more about the Western distributors, cast, and story in the coming weeks and months.
