Kaiju No. 8: The Game Reveals New Key Visual and Screenshots

Akatsuki Games released a new key visual and some new screenshots for Kaiju No. 8, which is currently titled Kaiju No. 8: The Game. The game will release on iOS, Android, and Steam.

The new key visual and screenshots for Kaiju No. 8: The Game depict Kaiju No. 8, Reno Ichikawa, Kikoru Shinomiya, Mina Ashiro, and Soshiro Hoshina. Details about the game’s mechanics and release date were not revealed yet, however.

The Jump Festa 2025 event confirmed that the Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 anime will premiere in July 2025. The anime will air on TV Tokyo and affiliate channels, and it will stream worldwide on Crunchyroll. Kōki Uchiyama joins the anime series as Gen Harumi in the second season.

Before the second season begins, a compilation film will cover the entire first season. The compilation film will be available for just three weeks only in participating theaters in Japan starting March 28, but it will screen worldwide at some point. It will also feature the new “Hoshina’s Day Off” original episode.

All 12 episodes of Kaiju No. 8 Season 1 are streaming right now on Crunchyroll with English subs and dubs, along with several other language options.  Crunchyroll describes the anime as follows:

In a world plagued by creatures known as Kaiju, Kafka Hibino aspired to enlist in The Defense Force. He makes a promise to enlist with his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro. Soon, life takes them in separate ways. While employed cleaning up after Kaiju battles, Kafka meets Reno Ichikawa. Reno’s determination to join The Defense Force reawakens Kafka’s promise to join Mina and protect humanity.
