Konami Digital Entertainment announced that the Yu-Gi-Oh GX anime is getting a remaster to celebrate its 20th anniversary. In addition, the Yu-Gi-Oh trading card game is getting a new short anime series titled Yu-Gi-Oh Card Game: The Chronicles.
Officially titled Yu-Gi-Oh GX 20th Remaster, the anime will air on TV Tokyo in April 2025. It’s unclear how what the remaster will entail, as Konami didn’t share any more details about what will be improved.

On the other hand, many details about Yu-Gi-Oh Card Game: The Chronicles short anime were confirmed. Konami’s in-house anime studio, Konami Animation, will produce the series. A new episode of the anime will stream each month on the Yu-Gi-Oh OCG Channel on YouTube starting in April 2025. The anime’s official website is now live with two new key visuals and the trailer as well.
