CD Projekt Red has announced that a Cyberpunk Edgerunners Blu-Ray will release in 2025. Further, a prequel manga is coming soon. Titled Cyberpunk: Edgerunners MADNESS, the manga will focus on beloved character Rebecca, alongside her brother Pilar.
According to the press release, “Before they joined David’s crew, the pair grew up wreaking havoc in their path to become legendary edgerunners like their father — but when the mysterious Safran interrupts their daily routine in Night City, he changes their future.” The manga will release on December 13 in Japanese, Polish, Italian, Spanish, and more. Dark Horse will release the English version in Paperback form.
Cyberpunk Edgerunners will be available on Blu-Ray in Japan, USA, Canada, Latin America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Thailand. It will release in 2025. CDPR initially released Cyberpunk 2077 in 2020. The game is available now on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
Update 2.0 and the Phantom Liberty expansion are available exclusively on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Both the base game and DLC will be available on Mac devices. Critics initially criticized it for its rushed release, game-breaking glitches, and failure to stay true to the game’s initial promise.
However, CD Projekt Red recently released both Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty and Update 2.0. The recent expansion and patch have completely overhauled the game’s mechanics and brought it closer to the game’s initial promise. Additionally, Netflix will be making a new anime series in collaboration with CDPR based on the Cyberpunk universe.
