To celebrate the upcoming premiere of Sonic the Hedgehog 3, SEGA announced a new content update for Sonic Dream Team will launch on December 18 with playable Shadow, new challenges, and much more. There will be several free rewards to obtain as well.
Firstly, the new Sonic Dream Team December 18 update will introduce Tails’ Challenges starring Shadow. Complete these special levels to earn rewards and unlock Shadow for use in Adventure mode. Shadow can manipulate time with Chaos Control and Chaos Shift, which will prove to be vital in reaching goals.
A new set of Powers will be available, including Quick Grind, Perfect Jump, Chain Attack, and Perfect Boost are available for all characters. Shadow has access to the exclusive Double Chaos Shift and Extended Chaos Control Powers.
Moreover, the update introduces six new Shadow themed statues, fan-favorite music tracks, and a fully reworked tutorial level. The new tutorial level should help new players get accustomed to the game even quicker.

Sonic fans may also dive into Sonic x Shadow Generations, an enhanced remaster featuring all-new content starring Shadow the Hedgehog.
