Capcom and Niantic announced Monster Hunter Now Season 4 “Roars from the Winterwind” will begin on December 11. The update brings the tundra habitat, along with monsters like Tigrex and so much more during the cold winter.
Tigrex, Lagombi, Volvidon, and Somnacanth are among the monsters that will arrive in Monster Hunter Now Season 4, alongside returning monsters like Barioth and small monsters Wulg and Cortos. Like previous updates, players may hunt Tigrex, Volvidon, and Somnacanth in the field after unlocking them in Season 4 urgent quests. Lagombi and the tundra habitat will appear after clearing the prologue.
The Switch Axe finally makes its debut in Season 4 with two modes: Axe Mode and Sword Mode. Build up the Switch Gauge while in Axe Mode and use it in Sword Mode to land a devastating blow. This weapon is unlocked after completing Chapter 2.
In Season 4, hunters gain access to their own customizable Palico. You can customize your Palico’s fur color, facial features, and name. The Palico that players are already familiar with will continue to act as Qualily’s assistant in the story and guides. Moreover, players may capture moments from the adventures with the custom Palico using AR photography.
A new Friend Cheering feature will be introduced, allowing friends to cheer each other on to temporarily increase their maximum health for the day. The number of loadouts will be increased, and driftsmelting skills can be linked to specific loadouts. Players can also look forward to new skills, including Critical Ferocity, Shared Shield, and Morph Boost.
Lastly, a new Season Pass will be available in Season 4, and an additional 250 slots will be available with the next Item Box Expansion. You can learn about monsters that will be temporarily leaving in Season 4 in the game’s latest blog post, too.
