LEVEL-5 announced the free “Megarobo Batroseum” update for Megaton Musashi W: Wired will release on November 26. The update will add pilots from iconic mecha anime franchises, the Megarobo Batroseum mode, and Battle Royale modes.
According to the official website, the new Megaton Musashi W: Wired Megarobo Batroseum mode focuses on player-versus-player combat, similarly to a fighting game. The update will also add famous pilots from mecha anime: Koji Kabuto from Mazinger Z, Ryoma Nagare from Getter Robo, Duke Fleed from UFO Robot Grendizer, and Hyoma Aoi from All-Star Combattler V, and Kenichi Go from Voltes V.
The Megaton Musashi W: Wired update also adds Battle Royale Mode and Team Battle Mode. In Battle Royale Mode, players can enjoy intense 1v1 duels or free-for-alls with up to six players. In Team Battle Mode, players work together in a Colosseum Battle-like mode. To prepare for battle, players may head into a Training Mode as well.
While waiting on the update, fans may enjoy Megaton Musashi seasons 1 and 2 on Crunchyroll. All 15 episodes of Season 2 were added to the streaming service this past July. When combined with season 1, 28 episodes were released for the entire anime series.
TOKYO MX, LEVEL-5, and OLM co-produce the Megaton Musashi series. The studio has previously worked on the highly successful anime adaptation of The Apothecary Diaries. 28 episodes of the anime aired from October 1, 2021 to March 17, 2023. Like many other anime series, the anime aired in two parts.
Lastly, Megaton Musashi W: Wired is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
