SEGA announced a free update for Sonic Racing on Apple Arcade is now available with community challenges and playable characters Popstar Amy and Idol Shadow. Both of the new characters are obtainable for free.
In the new Sonic Racing update, community challenges may be completed with the work of the player base to unlock rewards. Idol Shadow is obtainable from the new community challenges, while Popstar Amy is unlocked via time trials. This is in addition to previously released content, such as playable characters Rockstar Rouge and DJ Vector.
Apple Arcade players may also look forward to 15 new titles are coming to the subscription service, including Final Fantasy IV 3D Remake, Final Fantasy IV: The After Years, Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster, and Trials of Mana. Boggle: Arcade Edition, PAC-MAN 256+, Hot Wheels: Race Off+, and more will come to Apple Arcade on December 5.
On December 9, Square Enix will bring Final Fantasy IV 3D Remake and Final Fantasy IV: The After Years to Apple Arcade, allowing players to enjoy these games on modern platforms for the first time.
To start off the new year, Apple Arcade will add Skate City: New York, Gears & Goo (Vision Pro), Three Kingdoms Heroes, Final Fantasy+ (Pixel Remaster), Trials of Mana+, Rodeo Stampede+, and It’s Literally Just Mowing+ on January 9.
Many more games will be available on Apple Arcade throughout 2025, along with updates to games like Sonic Racing and Sonic Dream Team. Sonic Racing is playable on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro.
