NCSOFT announced that it will cease development of action adventure game Project M and its live-service multiplayer action game Battle Crush. Battle Crush will end service on November 29.
According to Gematsu and Game Meca, development of casual MMO sandbox housing game Miniverse and adventure game Doguri Adventure at NCSOFT will also cease alongside Project M. NCSOFT is refocusing its resources with the formation of four new subsidiaries to develop Throne and Liberty, Project LLL, TACTAN, and NCSOFT’s proprietary AI technology.
Studio X will lead development of content for Throne and Liberty, while Studios Y and Z develop Project LLL and TACTAN, respectively. NC AI will develop the company’s new AI technology. Platforms and a release date for Project LLL and TACTAN have not been announced yet, however.
In November 2023, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that they entered into a partnership with NCSOFT. The collaboration will be focused on “various global business fields, including mobile.”
Project LLL is coming soon, and you can read an overview of the upcoming title from NCSOFT below:
LLL is an expansive open-world MMO shooter that invites players to engage in epic battles within a vast and dynamic environment, offering them the freedom to traverse at will. Seeder Jaehyun Bae said, “You can immerse yourself in the open world, wielding a wide array of weapons and skill combinations.
