The November 2024 issue of Monthly CoroCoro Comic announced that a game adaptation of the Puniru wa Kawaii Slime manga and anime series is coming to Nintendo Switch. A release date for the new Puniru wa Kawaii Slime Switch game was not announced.

The Puniru wa Kawaii Slime anime premiered on October 6 on TV Tokyo and its affiliates. Risa Shimizu plays the role of Mami Kirara, alongside Yu Sasahara as Puniru, Junya Enoki as Yūsuke Nanpa, Yumiri Hanamori as Alice Okanega, and Shuichiro Umeda as Kotaro Kawaii.

Maeda-kun wrote Puniru wa Kawaii Slime, or Puniru is a Cute Slime, in 2019. The manga adaptation is still ongoing to this day in Weekly CoroCoro Comic. Crunchyroll describes the anime as follows:
The story of Puniru wa Kawaii Slime follows the daily adventures of Kotaro, a young boy, and Puniru, the slime he created when he was in elementary school. For the last seven years, Kotaro and Puniru have been great friends, but now that he’s a second year student at junior high, Kotaro has discovered that Puniru can take on the shape of a beautiful and free-spirited girl, and her wild behavior causes him no end of trouble.
