Genshin Impact Version 5.1 Update Adds New Quests and Xilonen

HoYoverse announced the Genshin Impact Version 5.1 “The Rainbow Destined to Burn” update will launch on October 9. The update continues the main story of the Natlan region, and Xilonen will make her playable debut. 

In Genshin Impact Version 5.1, Natlan is in urgent need of help as destruction and the threat of the Abyss looms. Players will work with Xilonen to forge an Ancient Name for the Traveler, and Citlali will lend a hand. However, Citlali’s fellow tribe member, Ororon, is planning something in secret. By completing the two new Archon Quest acts, players can gain an additional 500 Primogems, with another 400 Primogems to earn from World Quests and exploration progress. 

Releasing in the first half of Version 5.1, Xilonen is five-star Geo Sword wielder that can skate effortlessly and execute agile leaps along cliff walls. Thanks to her Samplers, she has valuable support skills that reduce enemies’ Elemental RES or healing her teammates. Xilonen will be available alongside Chiori, while Nahida and Hu Tao return in the second phase. 

In Sumeru, the Sabzeruz Festival returns, so players will have a variety of mini-games to enjoy, alongside a reunion of characters from the fan-favorite story arc. A new skip feature will also be available in the Spiral Abyss, character ascension will be more intuitive, and more quality of life changes will improve the overall experience.

Lastly, Genshin Impact is available now for Android, iOS, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Windows and Epic Games Store. A Nintendo Switch version is currently in development, but a release date has not been announced yet. The Xbox Series X|S version launches on November 20.
