Square Enix and Masayoshi Soken have announced that the Final Fantasy XVI Original Soundtrack will release on streaming services tonight at midnight. Additionally, music from the game’s two DLC releases is officially set to release alongside the OST, titled ‘Final Fantasy XVI – Original DLC Soundtrack – From Spire to Sea.’
The Final Fantasy XVI Original Soundtrack contains 181 tracks from the original game. The DLC OST has yet to be released until today, with 18 tracks featured. The first expansion, Echoes of the Fallen, focused on a new Fallen tower that housed a formidable secret with the creation of fake Mothercrystals. The second expansion, The Rising Tide, focused on the lost Eikon, Leviathan, and its whereabouts. Both of which are now available.
This release is set to go live at midnight EST. It couldn’t be more perfect timing, as the PC release of Final Fantasy XVI was also released today. The game is available for the first time on Steam, with the DLC expansions also available for purchase. A standard edition is priced at $49.99, while the complete edition is $69.99.
