Anime fighting game YouTuber Globku announced the return of the yearly online anime fighting game tournament Ultimate Burst. Over 200 players participated in Ultimate Burst 2023 last year, so Globku seeks to keep the momentum going with Ultimate Burst 2024. Here are the list of games coming to the event:
- Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections
- Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO
- Dragon Ball FighterZ
- Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles
Ultimate Burst 2023 hosted a Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 tournament to commemorate the announcement of Sparking! ZERO. This year, Globku is adding a special addition to its roster.
Ultimate Burst 2024 – Coming Your Way November 9-10
Ultimate Burst 2024 will occur from November 9-10. The tournament will start on that Saturday, and the remaining top 6 players from each game will play on Sunday. Naruto Storm Connections will be played on the PS5, where North American and European players can compete. Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO will be played on PS5 as well, but only European players can enter at the moment. This is because it is unclear if Sparking! ZERO will have great online connection with international players, online lobbies, spectator mode, and more. Globku asks fans to stay tuned, as the team behind the tournament can always change their minds depending on the quality of Sparking! ZERO‘s online experience.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is also making its way to Ultimate Burst 2024. Thanks to the addition of rollback netcode, North American and European players can play each other, but only on PC via Steam. A balance patch is expected to be coming soon, so stay tuned. Lastly, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles is returning to Ultimate Burst. The competitive community is still going strong for the game, so it will offer a good showing. Both North American and European players will be able to clash against each other on both PS4 and PS5. Be aware that Susamaru is banned for this tournament.
