HoYoverse announced Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.5 “Flying Aureus Shot to Lupine Rue” will release on September 10. The update will mark the beginning of the Wardance and bring various playable characters, including Feixiao and Lingsha.
In the story of Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.5, the Cloud Knights, lead by Feixiao, aid rescue efforts after the prison break in The Shackling Prison. Feixiao leads her troops to capture the escaped criminals and secure the surface of the Xianzhou Luofu. Jing Yuan is also investigating the matter while Huaiyan oversees the Six Commissions. The climax of this particular storyline will be told in Version 2.5, as the Luminary Wardance begins.
Known as “The Vanquishing General,” Feixiao is a new playable 5-star character that excels in all forms of martial arts. When teammates strike an enemy, she follows up with a powerful strike. She accumulates “Flying Aureus” with every few attacks and her teammates’ attacks. Feixiao’s Ultimate consumes Flying Aureus to unleash a series of powerful attacks with her gunblades or battle-axe. These strikes will reduce the enemy’s Toughness, bypassing their Weakness Type, and enhance her Weakness Break Efficiency.
Lingsha is another new 5-star character from Xianzhou Luofu. Her keen sense of smell allows her to diagnose illnesses and use incense to soothe others. In battle, she may summon Fuyuan, an incense beast she created. Fuyuan assists in combat briefly. Lingsha’s Skill may extend Fuyuan’s actions, allowing it to perform follow-up attacks, which damages all enemies, dispels a debuff from allies, and restores party HP. Her Ultimate also applies similar benefits, along with inflicting the Befog state to increase Break damage on enemies.

Moze, the 4-star Shadow Guard of the Yaoqing, will also be a playable character. He can mark a single enemy as “Prey” and then enter the “Departed” state while its on the field. After allies attack the Prey, Moze deals additional damage. Moreover, Moze’s Ultimate deals damage to enemies and launches a follow-up attack.
A special Warp Event will be held in the first half of Version 2.5 featuring Robin, Black Swan, and Kafka. In the second half, Topaz will make her return.
In Q3 2025, Archer (Emiya Shirou) and other Servants will board the Astral Express in the upcoming Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works collaboration.
Lastly, Honkai: Star Rail is available now for Android via Google Play Store, iOS via App Store, PlayStation 5, and PC via Epic Games Store.
