HoYoverse announced Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.4 “Finest Duel Under the Pristine Blue” will launch on July 31 with new playable characters, story quests, and more. In addition, a collaboration between Honkai: Star Rail and the Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works anime by Type-Moon and ufotable will be held in Q3 2025.
The Penacony vacation concludes in Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.4, and players will return to the Xianzhou Luofu for the Wardance ceremony. The update will introduce two new five-star characters, Yunli and Jiaoqiu, the new Shackling Prison map, and a new playable version of March 7th, who takes on the path of swordsmanship.
The Shackling Prison is overseen by the Ten-Lords Commission, and it’s a facility where Xueyi and Hanya perform their duties. This facility hosts the realm’s most dangerous criminals, and the entrance lies under the waters of the Scalegorge Waterscape. In addition, the Shackling Prison is inhabited by wolflike monsters called Borisin, who are known for their ruthless nature and Moon Rage.

Yunli is a five-star character participating in the Wardance ceremony as a delegate from
Xianzhou Zhuming. As a sword hunter and granddaughter of “Flaming Heart” General Huaiyan, she inflicts heavy physical damage while following the Path of Destruction. When attacked, she immediately counters and deals damage to the target and adjacent enemies. Her Ultimate ability also activates a Parry state, increasing critical damage and reducing damage taken while taunting enemies.
Jiaoqiu is Xianzhou Yaoqing delegate from the Alchemy Commission family. As a foxian healer and counselor, he hides his cunning nature with a warm smile. He is a fire-type character following the Path of Nihility, landing attacks with the Ashen Roast debuff. When inflicted, the target will suffer from the Burn state. Jiaoqiu’s Ultimate compounds the effects of Ashen Roast to deal major damage over the course of several turns.
March 7th takes up swordsmanship under Yunli and Yanqing. When using her skill, March 7th designates a teammate as a Shifu and increases their speed. She will adjust her style according to the Shifu’s actions and gain charges. After a certain amount of charges, she obtains an enhanced basic attack, with additional effects based on the Shifu’s Path.
More details about the Honkai: Star Rail and Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works collaboration are coming soon, according to HoYoverse. The collaboration is expected to bring several playable characters from the anime.
