Nintendo announced that a Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase and an Indie World presentation will both be held on August 27. These showcase will feature a combined total of roughly 40 minutes of Nintendo Switch related announcements.
The Indie World Showcase will begin at 7:00 a.m. PT / 10:00 a.m. ET on YouTube, followed directly by the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase. As the name suggests, Indie World will reveal various indie games coming to Nintendo Switch in the remainder of 2024 and beyond. The upcoming Partner Showcase will focus on new third party titles coming to Nintendo Switch in the same timeframe. However, it’s possible for one or two first-party titles to be highlighted, as previous Partner Showcases have shown.

Nintendo will likely reveal most of the third party games that will release from September to December, with potential shadowdrops for August 27. Potentially, the company will even reveal games that are slated for the first quarter of 2025. Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Pokémon Legends Z-A are some of the only Switch titles slated for 2025.
These presentations could be some of the last that are solely focused on Nintendo Switch. As Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa revealed in May, the successor for the Nintendo Switch will be revealed sometime within this fiscal year. However, this Nintendo Direct will feature no mention of the upcoming successor.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all the new announcements for tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct.
