SNK has officially opened up a website commemorating the 30th anniversary of The King of Fighters. The website will feature 30 exclusive programs showcasing the franchise’s history.
SNK has already celebrated The King of Fighters anniversary in various different ways. For one, they’ve revealed that Terry Bogard will be coming to Street Fighter 6, alongside Mai. Additionally, they’ve also shown trailers for the upcoming release of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, releasing on April 24. SNK has opened the 30th anniversary website for The King of Fighters. The website is described as follows:
“On August 25, 1994, the very first title in The King of Fighters series, The King of Fighters ’94, made its explosive debut on the Neo-Geo MVS arcade system.
Since then, The King of Fighters series has grown into the largest fighting game franchise, with numerous titles leading up to the latest release, The King of Fighters XV, in 2022.
Thanks to the unwavering support of fans worldwide, the series proudly marks its 30th anniversary on August 25. This beloved series has spanned generations and transcended borders, creating a global legacy. The website has only revealed three programs for The King of Fighters 30th Anniversary so far. On August 26, they’ll release development setting Documents for the KOF Series. On September 6, they’ll release posters and material from the original KOF. A week later, on September 13, they’ll release exclusive digital stickers and wallpapers for smartphones.
