Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced that the upcoming Unreal Engine 5 anime, Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance, will premiere on October 17. The series will be available to watch on Netflix. Further, Bandai Namco are developing a game adaptation within Fortnite.
Requiem for Vengeance was initially announced in July 2023. It’s announcement comes in the wake of Gundam: The Witch from Mercury‘s success. Released in 2022, the anime is one of the most successful Gundam projects of the last few years. Additionally, a new VR project titled Gundam: Silver Phantom will also be releasing soon. Requiem for Vengeance is set to be a departure from what Witch from Mercury has established, however.
Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance Confirms Premiere Date and Game Adaptation
According to a new press release, Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance will be available on Netflix on October 17. Additionally, Bandai Namco are creating a video game adaptation using Unreal Editor for Fortnite. According to the press release, “the game will be a free activation within Fortnite, where players participate in a Team Deathmatch-style game in the Fortnite universe.” It will be available not long after the series premieres.

Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance is an all-new original animation composed of six 30-minute episodes focusing on the European front of the One Year War, which was the setting of the first Gundam series, Mobile Suit Gundam.
Produced in collaboration with SAFEHOUSE using Unreal Engine 5, the series is written by Gavin Hignight, who wrote the animated series Tekken: Bloodline and Transformers: Cyberverse, as well as the video game Marvel’s Spider-Man, and is directed by Erasmus Brosdau, who has also worked on the animated series Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness and the video games Star Citizen, Ryse: Son of Rome and the Crysis series.
